(TM976) Cloud Data Architect

New Zealand wide | $190,000.00 - 210,000.00 Per Annum

Our clients Data and Insights practice delivers complete and versatile data and analytics solutions allowing customers to leverage the value of their data. Due to continued high demand from their wide variety of customer projects, we are seeking experienced Azure Data Architects to bring innovation and imagination to their team of architects.

Work you’ll do:

You will focus on designing and delivering cloud solutions using Azure data and AI services and as a key member of architecture, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software, and services on cloud services.

  • Design and implement complex analytics cloud solutions that meet customer needs
  • Educate customers of all sizes on the value proposition of the cloud and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are delivering business value
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst our wider Cloud Solutions Architect community
  • Author or otherwise contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates

Required:

  • In-depth hands-on work experience designing large-scale implementations of Analytics cloud solutions, preferably on Microsoft Azure
  • In-depth knowledge of Azure technology stack including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, ADC, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Bricks, DevOps/DataOps, Azure Data Factory
  • Direct experience migrating applications from the enterprise to cloud providers (e.g. Amazon, Google, or Microsoft)
  • Design and implementation of end-to-end data pipelines in Azure
  • Strong background and experience in Data Warehouses, Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new information quickly
  • Strong architecture design and modelling, written and oral skills

Preferred:

  • 10+ years of overall architecture experience, to include a minimum of 4 years of experience in Azure Analytics architecture
  • 3+ years project experience migrating and deploying cloud based solutions (Azure or AWS)
  • 3+ years architecting, implementing and supporting Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services infrastructure and topologies
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS will be an advantage
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake will be an advantage
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Azure Certified Professional
  • Understanding of Infrastructure as a Service, Infrastructure as Code and related concepts on public cloud
  • Understanding of Agile, SCRUM and Continuous Delivery
  • Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, coaching, analysis, problem solving and short term and long term planning
  • Experienced, persuasive and effective presenter, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle diverse situations, multiple initiatives and rapidly changing priorities
